Communities In Schools of Orting
Orting is one of Washington State’s fastest growing communities with new families and children moving to the area daily. Nearly 2,000 children currently attend Orting schools and it is projected that another 600-800 will arrive in the next few years.

We understand that Orting is a rural community and has many, many parents who must commute to work daily, leaving kids home alone from the schools out bell - to the dinner bell- which is often when kids can get into trouble. CISO plans programs around those hours then, so that kids have safe, fun and engaging things to do before their parents arrive home from work!

Communities In Schools of Orting (CISO) was established in 2001 as a non-profit organization with the goals of connecting youth with needed resources and provides programs to fill gaps in community services.

Our staff work closely with multiple partnering organizations from the private and public sectors to help deliver youth services. One of the goals of CISO is to help make Orting a better community for youth and families.
